Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital

Client:

West Glasgow Hospitals NHS Trust

Contract and project value:

£2.5m

Completion:

November 1998, phase 1

All our designs seek to create a sustainable and healthy environment for its occupants, especially with an emphasis on natural lighting and ventilation, and this project in particular confirmed to us what can be achieved when there is a shared vision between the client and the architect.

The Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital, a fifteen-bed purpose built hospital incorporating a therapy garden and art installations, is a unique building which has fully satisfied the goals of the original brief of creating a place of 'healing and beauty' for staff and patients, whose response has been overwhelmingly positive.

The first phase of the project was completed in 1998 and won a Dynamic Place Award in 2002.
