Erskine is a charity providing nursing and medical care to former members of the Armed Forces.
The new extension to the Edinburgh Home in Gilmerton Road provides 48 additional beds as well as the UK’s first purposed built Army Recovery Centre. The 12 bed wing offers support and specialised care to injured soldiers in a residential environment allowing them in the long term to either return to duty or civilian life. Facilities include a gym, career management, counselling and family support. If this pilot scheme proves successful it will roll out across the UK.
