macmon is involved in the redevelopment of the Woodilee Hospital site in Lenzie. Our appointment is divided over three different areas: new build business offices, refurbishment of listed buildings and the provision of new build affordable housing, community crèche and sports facilities.
The community facilities and housing side of the project has so far been taken to detailed planning application stage. Our housing proposals provide well proportioned, well detailed and simply constructed buildings, using natural materials and traditional building techniques. These buildings have a contemporary aesthetic and are designed to relate to a landscaped streetscape, incorporating shared surfaces. Where feasible, façade retention of original hospital building will be implemented.
