22/01/2010Work on site has now started for the £3.4m Craigshill Learning Disability Centre in Livingston by macmon architects.
Councillor Isabel Hutton SNP took part in the sod cutting ceremony alongside user groups and West Lothian Council representatives.
The 1,550m2 purpose build is replacing two existing facilities at Linlithgow and Blackburn.
This is a very exciting stage as the project is moving closer to the realisation of a bespoke building which has been closely developed with all user groups and the local authorities.
Once completed the energy efficient development will include an arts-and-crafts room, a music room, an IT suite and a sensory garden.
